Guitar Bands In Tenerife
There have been/are several guitar bands in Tenerife, there was my old band Loaded, whose members consisted of Lee Bullen , my self John Parkes, Gary Boyd , Wes Brislen and Ket we played a host of venues in Tenerife including Yesteryears in Las Americas, La Bodega in Playa Paraiso, The Market Tavern at Paloma Beach, O'Callaghans in Los Cristianos, Kilarney Corner in Las Americas, Rooney's bar in Patch Las Americas and Grandee O'Donnells in Golf Del Sur.

Other guitar bands in Tenerife are The Lizard Kings, who are a 3 piece made up of Ozzy (guitar and vocals), Brané (bass) and Wim on drums, the Lizard Kings are widely regarded as the best rock and roll band in Tenerife - I've been watching them since around 1996 and I never got tired of them. The Lizard Kings played their last gig in January 2006 at the In & Out Beach Bar in Fañabe - they broke up as Ozzy decided to move to the UK to be with his family..
Grand Theft Audio are former Lizard King frontman Diddy's (AKA David J Cocker) band. Diddy sings and plays guitar along with a bassist and keyboard player who also provides the drum beats - Grand Theft Audio are currently not doing anything but Diddy has a masterplan in the pipeline....
Gazoline were another guitar band in Tenerife and playing in O'Reillys Bar in Las Americas. They left for pastures new in March 2005 - they are very bass driven by their frontman Emile who is backed by a guitarist and drummer who seem to change almost weekly....
Down in Christie O'Connors are an excellent band called the Miz Fits, the bar owner Billy McCracken sings and plays keyboards, along with Grand Theft Audio's bassist Paul and guitarist and a really good drummer.
The Dubliners are the long standing resident band of The Dubliner in Las Americas, I don't go to see them too often but last time I did they had 2 guitarists and a keyboard player if memory serves - they're very good at getting the crowd going.
